Fritz moves on as Fils retires
Fritz, the sixth seed, led Fils 6-2, 2-0 after 45 minutes when the Frenchman, seeded second, retired from the quarter-final. Fritz had already reached the quarter-finals with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Denis Shapovalov, and he now meets Vacherot.
