Ozan Tufan’s rebound and Mohamed Salah’s eighth league goal gave Trabzonspor a 2-0 win over Beşiktaş at Papara Park on Monday. The result lifted Trabzonspor to fourth on 16 points, one place and one point above their visitors, who hit the post before half-time.

A rebound opens the scoring
The visitors tested Trabzonspor early, with Olaitan’s header forcing a save from Onana in the opening ten minutes. Trabzonspor weathered it, and in the 21st minute they found the opening. Ernest Muçi’s shot from a tight angle was parried by Beşiktaş goalkeeper Nübel, and the ball ran straight into the path of Ozan Tufan. He struck it home from the rebound.
The post, the saves and a one-goal margin
Beşiktaş pushed for an equaliser. Murillo hit the post from close range shortly before the break, and Trabzonspor reached half-time with the 1-0 lead intact. Nübel had to be sharp at the other end too, keeping out a clear chance before the break.
Salah settles it
Trabzonspor closed it out in the 71st minute with a counter-attack down the left. Franculino delivered a low cross and Salah finished first time from close range. It was his eighth league goal of the season and left him top of the Süper Lig scoring chart. Nübel made further saves late on to keep the margin at two.
The finish continues a season that began when Salah signed a two-year deal with Trabzonspor in August. He scored on his first league start for the club, a brace against Başakşehir, and has kept scoring since.
The table and what comes next
Trabzonspor moved up to fourth with 16 points from eight matches. Beşiktaş stayed on 15 and dropped to fifth. Trabzonspor travel to Çaykur Rizespor in the next round, while Beşiktaş host İstanbul Başakşehir.
