Jürgen Klopp has been officially appointed Germany head coach on a four-year contract through to the 2030 World Cup, the DFB confirmed on Friday. The 59-year-old, who has not managed a club since leaving Liverpool in May 2024, replaces Julian Nagelsmann following Germany’s shock round of 32 exit to Paraguay at the 2026 World Cup — the nation’s third successive tournament ending in acute disappointment.
